A painted paradise garden at dawn: mist over a still lake, a swan, blossoming trees, and in the distance Yakob and Rahel walking hand in hand beside the well where their story began.

The maison

A love story told in four chapters

Yakob & Rahel is a maison of single-origin chocolate founded in 2011 in Ponnani, Kerala, and composed as a book about love — after the fourteen years Jacob waited for Rachel. It is known for four chapter gift tins — fruit, matcha, nut, and fruit & nut — each holding six gold-foil-wrapped squares, married to the finest spices and sealed by hand, then shipped worldwide from India.

The story opens with First Bloom, cranberry, mango and wild blueberry; it deepens through The Longing, matcha with banana and mango, kept through the years of waiting; it roots itself in Forever Rooted, macadamia, hazelnut and almond; and it becomes whole in Being One, macadamia blueberry, hazelnut strawberry, almond cranberry — two lives in a single tin.

Read the chapters in order, or choose the one whose meaning fits the moment. Every tin arrives as a gift — of provenance, of craft, and of a story worth keeping — with complimentary wrapping and a note written by hand at the atelier.
